What is your name?
The name of your shop, and link?
TinkerAndPo - http://www.tinkerandpo.etsy.com
What do you make?
felted fingerless gloves and stitchmarkers, mostly, although I have quite a few new product ideas for 2009. I mostly focus on the fingerless gloves, though.
What drives your passion/inspires you?
Mostly money. HAAA, no really. Definitely money.
Do you have a favorite material to work with? Why?
Hmmm…I don’t know that I have a favorite material, but it’s always a very cool thing to predict how something will felt and then see if I was correct.
What is your favorite color?
Yellow. Bright, sunny yellow.
Do you have a gallery of works, such as a photo set on Flickr or Photobucket?
Nope, just my Etsy shop!
Anywhere else we can find your products?
I’m thinking about putting a few things on Dawanda and also Artfire. Actually, I do have a few things on Artfire now, and I’m seeing how the traffic goes there.
What makes your items so great?
Fingerless gloves are inexpensive but unique, practical, eco-friendly, and are always a happily-received gift. Oh yeah, and 10% of all sales in my shop gets donated to Autism Speaks.
Cake or death?
What is your mission?
To rid the world of cold hands while typing. If I can warm only one set of hands, my mission has been a success and I will die a happy woman.
Please describe the space where you create (ie, sewing room, the forest, etc):
Space? What’s space?
Do you have any pets or family involved in your business?
Yup - my husband, John, helps me finish gloves, and also does most of the packaging and shipping. My son and daughter generally try to get “involved” by sneaking into my photographs when I’m trying to take pics of the gloves…
What is your favorite of your current products?
CASHMERE fingerless gloves…it’s a little bitty piece of luxury.
